Sourced from 40 year old vines with maturation taking place in new and used French oak barriques for a period of 18 months. Midnight black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Ripe red to blackcurrant and mulberry aromas show good elevation combing with vanillin cedar, tobacco, dried herb and spice notes.

Rich blackcurrant fruits drive the medium to full bodied palate with notions of liquorice, dried herbs, cedary tobacco characters, scorched earth and spice lying underneath. Ripe sturdy tannins provide the framework and lead into a long firmly built conclusion.

Pair this wine with sticky barbecued beef tips and pan-roasted veal chops.
