First Edition - Summer 2023 Release.

The whiskeys in our Seasonal Bottled in Bond Series capture the ingredients, flavours and themes of the seasons from which they were inspired. For this Summer release represented by the heat-loving snake and cactus - we combined the robust nuttiness of Jimmy Red corn with the sweet spice or rye. The result is a hearty summertime bourbon offering creamsicle and black tea scents, followed by a playful palate of peppermint and marzipan.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Cinnamon, truffle, freshly ground coffee, vanilla cream soda, charred grapefruit.

Palate: Candied orange peel, milk chocolate, aged maple syrup, leather, mint leaves, marzipan, roasted pistachio.

Finish: Buttercream frosting, rum raisin ice cream, sarsaparilla, freshly ground peppercorns.

"The palate is simple, lovely, sweet and oaky. It s what bourbon at its simplest should be. No surprises, no disappointments, just goodness that s so easy to drink that you extend your arm for a refill before you need a refill." - Steve Coomes, Bourbon Banter

"This release is a shocker and full of the characteristics I love in a whiskey." - Bottle Raiders (90 Points)

"Still Austin Bottled in Bond Red Corn Bourbon s layers of spice is its key to delivering an impactful and memorable sip with plenty of pop." - Eric Hasman, Breaking Bourbon

"A nose of grilled, sweet summer corn, caramel, cooked red apples, and baking spices fills the nose. The palate has some serious heft to it, with rich flavors of cocoa and dulce de leche sprinkled with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, allspice, and a spicy twinge of ginger powder and black pepper rounding it out. A tart cherry flavor cuts the richness, but lets in a warm, roasty finish." - Amanda Schuster, Distiller (88 Points)

"The nose pulls you in with soft saccharine notes of vanilla ice cream, frosted strawberry Pop Tart, expressed orange, and ripe red berries. The palate is more robust, offering chocolate-covered Bing cherries, shortbread cookies, creamy chocolate milk, and just a dash of peppery spice. More chocolate on the finish, which is creamy, decadent, and made better by a zesty zing of raspberry fruit." - Whisky Advocate (92 Points)
